Cabbage with mushrooms is an excellent Polish traditional dish that is part of the twelve Christmas Eve meals. It is easy to prepare and, thanks to the dried mushrooms and spices, very aromatic, so it must not be missing from the Christmas table.

Ingredients:

  • 800 g water
  • 1 g ground black pepper
  • 1 g allspice
  • 1 g bay leaf
  • 50 g dried mushrooms
  • 900 g sour cabbage
  • 350 g Onion, raw
  • 6 g salt
  • 100 g clarified butter

Method of cooking:

  1. On the lid of the bowl place a container and weigh 50 g of dried mushrooms, add 500 g of cold water. Leave to soak for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
