Potetlefse - Norwegian potato flatbreads

Potetlefse are traditional Norwegian potato flatbreads, resembling thin tortillas or crepes. They are made from boiled and mashed potatoes, flour, butter, and salt, then fried on a dry pan. Potetlefse can be served in many ways – sweet, for example with butter and sugar, or savoury, with cheese, cured meats or salmon.

Ingredients:

  • 1000 g water
  • 2 g baking powder
  • 3 g sugar
  • 6 g salt
  • 100 g milk, 3,2% fat
  • 500 g Potato, long stored
  • 200 g wheat flour 450

Method of cooking:

  1. Add 1000 grams of water to the bowl. Insert the basket. Add 500 grams of peeled potatoes to the basket. Cook for 35 minutes at 130℃.
